 Today's Date:

We are currently accepting Graduation Applications for the class of 2008-2009. The graduation application deadline is Dec. 1, 2008.

The Registrar's Office has many graduation-related responsibilities. Some (but not all!) are:

  • Process graduation applications.

  • Complete graduation audits and post degrees to student records.

  • Assist with the graduation rehearsals and ceremonies.

  • Bill graduation fees to student accounts.

  • Order regalia (caps and gowns, etc.) and diplomas for graduation.

  • Keep students updated about graduation!

FOR THE CLASS OF 2008-2009:

Graduation fees for 2008-2009:  Graduation fees are due March 1, 2009. However, if you graduate before spring semester and wish to have a degree-posted transcript, you must pay the graduation fee and any other outstanding fees, etc. before you can receive the transcript.
Graduation Announcements: Jostens will mail graduation announcement information to students in Feb./March 2009. At that time you can view/order on line at:
http://www.jostens.com/graduation/college/announcements after Feb. 1 or you can place your order by calling 1-800-353-5299.
Graduation Audits: Audits are completed once a semester and a hard copy of the audit is mailed to the student and adviser. The graduation audit is also available online in CampusWEB. ONLY students who've applied for graduation and had an audit completed will be able to view their audit in CampusWEB. If paperwork comes in between mailed hard copies, you may see a change on the online audit. Pay close attention to the "updated date" on the CampusWEB audit!
Caps and Gowns: Your graduation regalia (cap and gown, etc) will be delivered to the closest Brenau campus April 2009. The location is determined by the campus you were associated with at the time your cap and gown were ordered. The Registrar's Office will mail you a post card when they are delivered - this is usually during the month of April. The card will let you know where to get your regalia and the office hours of that location. At the same time, you will receive your graduation tickets (if you are attending). Because we are issuing tickets and caps and gowns, you will be required to have a picture id to retrieve them. We do the best to make it as convenient as possible for you to pick up your regalia. If the location on the post card is not convenient and there is a more convenient campus nearby, contact the Registrar's Office and we'll do our best to accommodate you!
What to Expect: Students often ask what mailings to expect from the Registrar's Office during the year (other than graduation audits.)
  • Early Feb. - You will receive a letter about your diploma. The letter will ask you to contact us if the name that was input into your "diploma order" was not spelled correctly. We will also include a post card (that we ask you to return) that will ask you to verify your graduation attendance.
  • March: You will receive a congratulatory letter from the Registrar. With that letter, you will receive information about the ceremony (what to wear, number of tickets you will receive, etc). You will also receive directions and parking information. All students receive this information, even if you informed us that you will not be at graduation.
  • March: You should receive information from Jostens about Graduation Announcements. (You will receive information of and on throughout the year from Jostens as well.)
  • April: You will receive a post card as to when and where to pick up your cap and gown. We try to have your cap and gown delivered to the campus that is closest to your home address.

FOR OUR SUMMER 2009 GRADUATES:
If you apply for graduation for 2008-2009 and will finish your graduation requirements during summer semester 2009, or will have transient credit or CLEP credit that is outstanding at the graduation ceremony, please submit a Summer Form. The form is available on our web site. These forms are not due until about mid semester spring 2009 because many students won't know the exact summer classes they will need until after spring registration.
When we complete spring audits and see that you will not be completing your requirements during spring semester, we will send you the Summer Graduation Form if we do not already have one on file
