nationally recognized and world-renowned Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, 8
p.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, in Pearce Auditorium.
According to Charlotte Boye-Christensen,
associate artistic director of Ririe- Woodbury, the company is very modern
in terms of repertoire and outlook. They have a “diverse group of dancers
whose individuality, technical capabilities and dramatic potential have
inspired a vast group of choreographers” she writes.
The 40-year-old, Salt Lake City, Utah-based
company’s mission is to further contemporary dance by creating and
performing original and innovative works of the highest quality, providing
audiences with a variety of exciting and innovative choreographic styles
in a single evening. Ririe-Woodbury strives to promote the understanding
of and appreciation for the art form of dance.
