Brenau University Golden Tigers collegiate
tennis team places fifth nationally, according to the new National
Association of Intercollegiate Tennis (NAIA) rankings, released Feb. 24.
The Tigers currently hold a score of 2-0 and a record of 257.
Led by 2002's NAIA Coach of the Year, Bill
Rogers, D.A., this year's team members include Kayla Berry a first-year
student from Australia; Malgorzata Schmiehowska a junior student from
Poland; Helene Macchi, a junior from France; Zora Gyoreova a junior
student from the Slovak Republic; first-year student Josy Soares of
Brazil; sophomore Lindsey Woon from Malaysia and first-year Renata Mattos
from Brazil.
The Tiger' next match is scheduled for 2
p.m., Wednesday, March 2 at the university's Smithgall Tennis Center off
Washington Street, when they will take on Berry College's Lady Vikings of
Mobile, Ala. |
