Laura Jarrett, 07, B. F. A. Graphic Design. Will begin working for Brown, Inc. in Dalton, GA in Fall 2007.                   

Amanda Eastburn, '05, B.A. Business Administration works for the family UPS store in Marietta GA.  Amanda visited Briana in Aspen in August 2005.

Everyone is raving about the transformation Briana Dennis, B.A., Interior Design, '04 created for the Bell Building, Brenau's new Psychology Center.  The warmth of the counseling rooms provide a soothing environment for the campus and community-centered service.   After providing interior design for homes in Aspen Colorado, Briana recently moved back to Atlanta where she and husband Jason are raising their son Nathan.

 
 

Shiloh Hendricks '98, BS, History/Political Science

Shiloh is currently a business analyst in the Assessment and Consulting Services of TSYS.  TSYS, which is based in Columbus, GA, offers software and services for worldwide electronic payments.  
 "I would currently not be where I am today without Brenau and the Learning Center.  The support I received from professors and everyone at the Learning Center gave me the confidence I needed and which I now use very day at my job."

 

Elizabeth Nachman Smith '91, B.S., Human Resources
Liz resides in Atlanta with her daughter Caroline.  She was a swim team member for Lanier Aquatics, and board member of the Gainesville Chapter, American Heart Association.   Liz was Chair of the 2002 Heart Walk. Liz gave generously of herself in the redesign of the Learning Center web pages along with Sarah Adams '01.

Amy Amos Fuller, B. S. Education, 1996
certified in mental retardation, is a special educator in grades 6,7,8 in Columbus GA.
Amy has a daughter, Katy, 7. Amy enjoyed a visit with Dr. Lucy Bartlett during her visit to the Learning Center in April.

Shelby Neece, '96, B. S. Psychology

"Only two more hours and I can send my application to take the LCSW exam.  Recently I started equine training."

Angela Underwood '97, B.S. Mass Comm.  On a recent visit to the Learning Center shared, "If it wasn't for patience of tutors and staff, I would not be where I am today. Their desire to help other people is the key to happiness in this world...not to forget your fellow man."
After five years with BellSouth, Angela has accepted a new position with Cox Enterprises in Dunwoody, GA in their IT department.

Stacy, a sales  representative for a pharmaceutical company, resides in Suwannee, GA. 

 

Jessica DeWolf '02 is attending State University of West Georgia's Masters in English program where she  applied for an assistantship.

Anna Finkel '01, B.S., General Studies
is a Para educator in Birmingham, Alabama.

Sarah Adams '02, art and design major writes," I completed my second Bachelor in Fine Arts degree and am now working on my MFA in Graphic Design.  It is a lot of work but I am loving every minute of it. I think of the Learning Center everyday and wish that SCAD had one as good as Brenau. Between quarters I am put to work on the farm so I have to go back to school for a vacation."

Emily Jane Hart, B.F.A, 2000
Emily is in her second year of graduate school at University of Georgia seeking to attain her Masters degree in art education. She is secretary of NAEA on campus.  Emily aims to join the UGA's art study abroad program in Cortona, Italy some time next year.

Tia Childree's classroom of 6,7, and 8th graders at Jefferson Middle School (GA) is self-contained and interrelated.  Tia commented that extended time testing in the Learning Center built her self confidence.  The Learning Center atmosphere helped strengthen her testing skills.

Alissa Willet '93, B.S. Education writes she has been teaching for seven years.  Currently in Houston, TX, Alissa is seeking placement for special needs students.  "If it were not for my tutors, Dr. Vince, and the Learning Center, I would not have stayed at Brenau, nor would I have gone to college.  All of the tutors... are dedicated...They become your friends and family from the time you step into the center...and remain that way throughout your life...truly people you never forget."

Marnie Gregory Walters '91, B.A., Public Relations, writes, "I truly believe the inspiration and encouragement you gave me everyday when I was in school helped my self-esteem and confidence flourish to do great things in my life...My husband and I are living in Frankfort, Kentucky.  I am working at Labrot and Graham Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky as the Guest Services Manager." I am responsible for the Distillery's Visitor Center Tour Program and Special Events.  It is a great job, we have over 50,000 visitors a year and growing.  I meet people from all over the world daily.  I have just received my M.A. Masters in Historic Preservation from the University of Kentucky."

Paige Smith Donnelly '88, 
"It was great to see the web site and all the info. on the learning center.  I graduated from Brenau in 1988 and was in the program...and even took education classes under Dr. Vince.  I could never have had a successful teaching career if it had not been for the program.  I am so glad to see that it is still going strong.  I went on to be a special ed. teacher in Forsyth county for 5 years before marrying my husband and starting a family.   God bless you all and I wish you continued success."  (email dated March 2001)

 

Leila Kramer, MSW, M.A. '92, Human Resource Management

Leila recently took a position as Director of Tutoring at the Lab School in Washington D.C. where she resides.  In addition to her  community volunteer work, Leila writes: "I think of you all often and am grateful all Brenau and in particular the LD Center and those fabulous tutors did for me."
Kathleen Honeycutt, '93. B.S. Psychology

After graduation Kathleen worked as a social service director for a nursing home., then as Assistant Director of Community Life at Brenau. "Brenau was very good for me.  If it were not for Brenau's small classes, homelike environment, and Learning Center, I would not be where I am today." 

Kathleen is Director of Social Services at Lanier Village, a premier ACTS continuing care retirement community in Gainesville.

 Eve Benton Smith, '87 B.A. Fashion Merchandising says, "Without the Learning Center, I would not be where I am today."    Eve and her husband are the proud adoptive parents of Tyler Alexander, 4, and Benton Christopher, 7. Eve shared that the organizational skills she mastered at the Learning Center `help her in business today.  Eve is a former recipient of the Learning Center's IO Award.
