Cross-Country
Season Outlook 2008 |
This year expect to see a lot of competition among our Brenau runners. Rachel Nodine will undoubtedly lead the Tigers for the start of the 2008 season. Sophomore Monica Muchene will return with her smooth running style and motivate her teammates. We can still count on Audra Cochran, Lauren Bone and Elvira Mora for their consistent times. Former Brenau tennis player, Diana Cardenas, from Columbia will bring a new spark of fire to the cross country team.
Shkurte Ejupi (from Kosovo) will bring her competitive heart to the cross country team. Shkurte will also be sharing her athletic abilities with the Brenau Tennis team. Sophomore Hilary Corey, from Hiawassee, Georgia, will bring her dedication and commitment to the sport of running.
New to Brenau this year will be freshman Lilian Korir (Kenya) and freshman Maria Gonzalez (Lawrenceville, Georgia). We look forward to these two athletes’ arrival in August.
It seems fitting that our first race of the season will be at Agnes Scott College (a women’s college) in Decatur, Georgia. Please mark your calendar and join us. Take the time to check out our fall schedule and plan to attend at least one meet this season. We will have two or three meets in the Atlanta area. We look forward to seeing you out there!
